AA flies to MSY from Chicago (ORD), Miami (MIA) and Dallas Forth Worth (DFW) which are three US that BA fly to. Dont even think about entering via Miami.

Dallas Forth Worth has fairly decent immigration queues and late flights to MSY as well.
The BA flight to DFW is in the morning but there are 2 afternoon AA flights to DFW.
