I took the trouble to read the article you cited. I'm not a DL fanboy or defender but the article is full of inaccuracies and exaggerations. I believe that the proper description is "a hatchet job"
I also just priced a ticket MSY-LGA RT when there was no special event taking place and Spirit's "Bare Fare" where nothing was included was $30 higher than DL's regular fare.
