AGP to LGW last minute 734 to 320 switch
Over the coming couple of months I've deliberately sought out the 737 flights (the few that remain) for the enhanced pitch and possibility of blocked B seat in front row ET.
Last flight I diligently waiting until T-72 and got myself 6C. I checked in at the first opportunity to ensure this was my seat.
Walking up the air bridge I noticed a lack of cockpit roof windows then the dreaded Airbus wing tips were there winking at me.....gutted. On boarding I asked the CC wasn't this supposed to be a 734. They said yes and they're very unhappy about the change. They much prefer the 734 and commented on not even having a locker to hang CE coats. Apparently it was changed around T-18.
So, on my few remaining 734 bookings do I carry on the risky business of aiming for front ET A or C or consider the possibility of it being switched again to an A320 and go for exit row? Can one change their seat even after checking in?
As luck would have it, 6C was the second ET row and I didn't have someone in 6B but the row in front did. It was blind luck. Still missed the extra leg room though.
