In the most recent Flying Blue magazine that I get as a Dutch FB member, Air France announced that as of april 2015, they will be introducing a new concept on European flights. The current "3 class config" will change to a "2 class" model with Business & Economy. Economy Premium will thereby be replaced by Economy Flex with the following characteritics:
- Changing flights without costs
- "Go Show" - the option to leave on an earlier flight
- SkyPriority
- "More competitive" price levels
In addition, the A319 will be fully refitted with leather seats and the meals for both Economy and Business will be improved.
I wonder whether Eco Flex will remain to have the improved leg-space (I would assume so as the Business config is likely to remain flexible as well)...
There is already a thread on this ("end of PE on medium haul flights" or a similar title). No extra leg room or anything, it really is a simple two cabin structure: business/economy.
