Generally the power outlets on 737s work but sometimes like anything else there is an issue. The full snack baskets are generally on longer flights outside of the meal window. It certainly beats the nuts and cookies of pre US/AA meal adjustments. PDBs are hit or mixed, much, much more consistent on US. AA, New York crews seem to be the worse at it; Miami and LA crews the best at doing it-even with a late and chaotic boarding.
In my experience, as much as 25% of the time the outlets don't work but the more frustrating thing to me is most of my plugs don't stay in the plug easily, sliding out with the slightest jostle. Not sure what to do about this.
