Howdy,

I have an award flight on Alitalia coming up. (I booked through Delta.)

Do I need to tell Alitalia that I have silver status to receive the SkyTeam benefits I see listed?
At JFK is there a priority check-in and security line for Alitalia and can I use it with my husband? (I have status, but he doesn't.)
And will I be able to access priority boarding so we don't have to wrangle for overhead space?

This is not my first international flight, but it's the first one I have with a smidgen of "status." It is the first time we will fly Alitalia.
