Just thought I would post a relative edge case that UA somehow coded correctly.

Back in February I booked a SEA-PEK J ticket for over $4K. I just happened to check the fare this week as I had to price out a completely different ticket to a different part of the world. SEA-PEK J ticket was now just over $3K for same flights, same fare bucket. Called UA and they gave me a voucher for the difference minus $50 (I thought they had stopped doing this and that I had to pay the full change fee of $450. Thanks UA).

The information on the reservation online took about 12 hours to update but it eventually did and the PQD/Award Miles updated automatically to reflect the lower ticket price. So it looks like UA does some batch processing each day where it will update these numbers based on the latest fare information stored in the ticket.

Just booked another international ticket and this one is incorrectly showing the PQD without the Intl Surcharge.

Also, this ticket shows "This itinerary includes one or more flights that are ineligible..." which is funny because it doesn't (all flights are AC or 4U operated). However, it does include an overland segment that't not part of the ticket. I end the outbound in STR but the return starts in TXL. Because of that there's "-----" in the PQD earning summary page because the website can't figure out that there's no flight booked from STR to TXL and instead throws this error message.

Lastly, the 4U segments are displayed wrong. They are booked as UA codeshare flights in "P" class and "P" doesn't translate to 4U so they show as earning in economy class. Will see what posts after I fly the flights next month.
