Dear friends, I have a business trip to the Netherlands next month and would really appreciate your kind advises on how can I spend half a day in Amsterdam.

My trip will be on KL 894 from PVG-AMS, arriving at 5AM on the 12th of Apr. I should be in decent shape as I expect the new WBC lives up to the good reviews on it. Since my final destination will be in Vlaardingen, with a dinner scheduled on the same evening, so I probably should be heading for train after lunch. Therefore, I have got entire morning with myself. I am literally travelling alone, and this is my first trip to the Netherlands actually. I can speak/read/understand no Dutch language, but my English is fully functional with many years of life in the US.

On top of my thoughts, I am thinking about dropping my luggage at the airport and do a short trip before taking train from the airport early in the afternoon. The only 'must have' for me is to stop by the Chanel shop to test my luck in getting a Le Boy bag that can add to my better half's collection. Other than that, I would just hope I can take some Dutch landscape/scenic shots and experience a bit of local favor.
