Again, I doubt they'd do anything or care much about a one-off segment skip (this is obviously far less serious to AA than selling SWUs or making bomb threats). But whenever I break even the seemingly minor rules, I refrain from posting about it online. You just never know.

As you said, you have to be careful when posting online. I've seen staff of this particular airline (won't name them..let's just say it's a oneword airline) where they would post pics on a popular pic taking app and tag their location making silly faces or doing something out of the ordinary. They have a special department, albeit it small that mines through popular social media sites. They have been known to give warnings out to their staff to not do those things in uniform. However, they can do whatever they want when not in uniform.
