There are a few large gecko-related species (they almost look like komodo dragons!) around. They are harmless. You're in the tropics after all...

The one we first came across, it was on our way to the Amanusa villas site visit. We nearly ran over it but the ca
r screeched to a halt just in time.

After our site visit we went for a massage, came back to our suite after and I was taking a nice bath, when I saw the gecko swimming laps (!!!) in the koi fish pond that surrounds the bathroom.

The gecko must be thinking "Sweet! I have a private pool!"
thank you for the info.

I was also thinking that I had a private pool not to share with a future purse or wallet )

I called on the spot and an assistant manager came with someone else but my buddy was already gone

In the bath... your head and his head were at about the same level...‎

By the way, Novotel beach is moving from the right of nusa to the left, however on the left there is no green to keep it isolated.
Actual novotel beach will be used by a new shangri la.

Had lunch at Dari and the gaspaccho was very very good.
However the tour consisted of 3 commercial/toursit/overpriced/useless shops and 1 temple and a small rice field. .(then dari)
The ride to Ubbud and Dari visit were nice. (they showed me a 2 level suite at Dari) can't remember the name or number).

Italian restaurant at nusa is average, doesn't match a five stars hotel.‎

5 rooms only are busy.
4 pm late check out confirmed right after booking.
5 pm at check in
6 pm after asking the assistant manager.
‎Tomorrow I'll ask 6 am the next day for free hahaha

Had dinner at the San regis and food is pretty good and name calling‎ every 2 minutes but the place is busy. You do see guests here lol‎
