Do hotel guests have the legal right to use a hidden camera inside their rooms?
As suggested above, in many states throughout the US, it is illegal to record someone without his or her consent. Such a recording cannot be used as evidence against someone.
Even if it is not illegal, the police may not be able to use it as evidence due to chain of custody issues.
