I was having a look at dream maps on www.travelocity.co.uk, and there are a bunch of fares from LHR to "Down Under" that seem pretty good.

Examples are LHR-SYD, LHR-MEL, LHR-AKL and LHR-PER for GBP430 + tax and LHR-CHC for GBP 490 + tax. These seem valid on SQ or QF. Dates are valid through to mid june. There is no minimum stay.

Since it's a super cheap fare, check if the SQ fare is valid for mileage.

I can't use these, but thought it might be useful.
