Yes. I kept my points. That is only reason why I didn't cancel the A+, I didn't want to lose my points.
but now I have an A with points, and A+ with points. Both separate....not sure if I can combine them, because I want to can cancel my A.
When I was on reconsideration with Barclay, they asked me if I want to cancel my A, I told them, no. Not sure if they would have been able to move my points to the new card. But I didn't want to risk losing my points if I closed my A card.
