"We have attempted to contact you...." on email

I'm having a bit of a nightmare on my upcoming holiday. So far, I've had three cancellations and four schedule changes to my itinerary, so forgive me if I scowl as yet another email with yet another schedule change from BA drops into my inbox.

But why do they start "We have attempted to contact you using the information supplied at the time of booking."?

Does that mean they tried some other means and failed? All my information is current and unchanged from the time of booking.

Or is this email their attempt to contact me and it's just clumsy wording?

I know it's a FWP and all that, but on the other hand if there's a chance they think they've tried to contact me and failed, I'd like to sort it out as the way this trip is going they'll probably need to reach me again.
