yes indeed, and it feels great when it goes that way, doesn't it?

i've certainly had it go both ways. my favorite was the day i switched from one turboprop flight BOS-JFK to another one at the next gate over, because its scheduled arrival gate at kennedy was in the same terminal as my connecting transatlantic flight. as soon as the original flight left, the new one canceled. it worked out in the end -- i got rebooked from connecting coach to nonstop business on another carrier. (those were the days of great service at an airline which shall remain UnnAmed....)
