Yes, the airline should do more than say sorry. Airlines are there to simply provide transportation and should get me from point A to point B and stay the heck out of my way. I don't want some ignorant agent who doesn't know the rules stopping me from going on my journey when I know what I have is legitimate. All the airline should do is if they doubt my docs are legit to let me assume the risk of being sent back, that's all. All they should do is advise, not try to prevent me from traveling.

International travel is stressful enough, the last thing I want to deal with is an ignorant agent who doesn't care to learn the rules getting in my way.
