I've visited Dubai before and most recently last Christmas, however I am intrigued by your suggestion of using hotel facilities. I'm not interested in drinking much, just somewhere to relax, shower and/or swim. Last christmas I stayed in the Palm Jumeirah sofitel hotel and would love to go back, however its too far away from the airport for my liking. Are there any recommendations for hotels nearer to the airport and have swimming facilities?
