The point is that we want to give members a chance to book hotels we think are going up in category in advance of that happening. It is a process that takes months to line up and there is simply some data that remains in flux in the weeks leading up to and a little beyond the set date for the changes, so a handful of properties are missed.
Would you rather that no advance notice be given at all? Because that would probably be a great relief to those who have to put this together for you.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely appreciate the list and everything else SPG does in all aspects of the program as I am a strong advocate. I just find it strange to be fickle about these handful of listed properties in a matter of weeks. I guess I'm just personally annoyed that LM TPE decided not to move down, but can't say I'm surprised either.
