I was saying that IF I got on standby and was given a seat it would have been bad. In blackjack terms, holding on a 12 turned out to be the smart move because a the next card turned out to be a 10.

And yest, to the other poster's comment, it could have turned out just as bad if the 4:30 was cancelled. Just one of those "near misses" I got lucky with.
