I'm with you on this. I find this whole hoopla about how animals are being killed -- so as to be eaten -- to miss the point that leads up to their death and how the animals were forced to live until being killed. It also seems to ignore or downplay the environmental impact of animal husbandry relative to produce of other sorts from farms/fields/orchards; but given the environmental impact of flying, using the enviromental concerns would seem a cheap ploy and decoy.
Of course the cheap solution to minimize some of this hoopla may be for BA to go vegetarian. That said, I like my meat/poultry too much to be anything but a hypocrite on this matter -- and I like it to be relatively affordable even for BA.
