A couple who are friends of mine will be flying LH491 in C in July. It's a 744. This will be their first business class flight, so I'd like to help them have as nice a flight as possible.
From skimming through and searching this thread, it looks like row 1 is the best for a couple. But since the posts I found were several years old, I just wanted to check to see whether row 1 is still recommended.
The first row will get them a little extra legroom, but the difference isn't really that substantial in my opinion. The nice thing is that you can get out of the seat without your neighbor having to get up when you are at the window. But since they are traveling as a couple that isn't really an issue anyway.
However it's hardly guaranteed they will be able to get those seats anyway since they are reserved for elites until OLCI. Just don't pick those middle seats and they will be fine.
