Will CX extend my renewal date

HI All,

My period for renewal is Mid April 2014 to End April 2015, i just need 2500 tier miles to achieve gold, has anyone tried to email CX to get an extension. I am actually booked for a long haul flight in Mid May.

Any experiences with this?
