Boy is that true!! The couple times I've flat out bought a F fare instead of paid upgrade or miles or whatever has always been with Delta. A lot of times the F fares on mid range flights are only a hundred or two bucks more then coach, compared to AS where coach is ~$149 o/w and F is $600 o/w or something. If SEA-LAX was $150 rt in coach and $300 or $350 in F, I probably would buy F more often then not, especially if you still got the class of service bonus.
