I think your problem here is that there is only one SFO-LAX flight after 10pm, and that is (according to the March OAG) UA 1429 which leaves SFO at 2215 and arrives LAX at 2328.

(In addition there is WN 1519 leaving OAK at 2200 arriving ONT 2310)

Southwest also may have service from SJC to both LAX and ONT after 10pm, after April 4th, but the March OAG does not list this.
