That would be worth it to me if the lowest coach fare wasn't too high. Sometimes I've paid under $300 for JFK to SEA. That idea means charging the OP for the lowest coach fare and letting him ride in first (ordinary F, but still). You've got a good point yourself, but actual fare - lowest coach as a refund, and still fly, is at least not an insult.
