Has anyone else encountered the World Traveller Cottage Pie?

Coming home from Los Angeles overnight Sunday, we were given the option in WT of either cottage pie or vegetarian pasta.

We both tried the cottage pie.

It turned out to be potato slop on top of some red-coloured tomato-flavoured slop with peas in.

Needless to say it went back with barely two forkfulls taken out.

I know there's cost issues, but if it wasn't for the fact they have to offer you food to prevent a charge of kidnapping, I think it is shameful to put something like this down in front of a passenger.

Oh, and we were travelling in front of a party of Italians. My linguistics aren't great, but they considered the vegetarian pasta to be an insult to their nation, judging by the waving of hands and holding up of bits of twisty white stuff on forks.
