I would rather have KLM fix some of their existing issues, at least until smart watches become more popular.
One example: in the mobile app, I have a reservation and it lists flights AAA-AMS and AMS-BBB. For each flight there are several buttons (select seat, etc.) among which there is a button for Flight Status. When I click on Flight Status for a given flight, it asks for origin and destination or a flight number. It should already know the flight number of the flight I've just clicked on.
So given the limited market for smart watches, as well as the limited market for the mobile app (it's really only useful for pax who travel frequently on KL), people who are both smart watch owners AND use the KLM app is a small niche, IMO.
