DL dropped JFK-SEA as a BE/Delta ONE route effective March 1 (they unofficially dropped it before then for comp upgrades). Theoretically, this should leave more flat-bed aircraft for the JFK-SFO/LAX routes and less likely there will be subs. Not saying they will never happen, but I suspect it won't happen as often. DL calls out 180-degree flat-bed on Delta ONE flights. It may not exactly be a guarantee, but the marketing definitely makes a point of it. I just noticed in the latest marketing material that now only JFK-LAX is listed as having all Delta ONE service. Wonder what that means for JFK-SFO?
So, they have dropped two of the JFK to XXX BE/Delta ONE routes, as far as advertising goes. But it seems that all but one daily non-stop to SFO still claims to have flat-bed seating, and there is still one flight per day to SEA with flat-beds.
So, they only market one of the three routes as Delta ONE, they use the required aircraft on two routes that they don't market as Delta ONE, and they can't find enough aircraft to reliably provision the one remaining route marketed as Delta ONE?
