I always plan it out using google flights, multi city in 4 segments:
LAX-JFK
JFK-SIN (will return this leg with the NRT layover)
SIN-JFK
JFK-LAX.

Once you pick all the flights you want, it gives you a link to delta which will then instantly pull up the routing
