We did the Seychelles last year as part of part of our honeymoon before continuing on to Safari. we stayed at the Banyan Tree, which was ok. I picked it because they pools in the villas were bigger than the FS, and the villa we picked also had a jacuzzi. I have mixed feelings about the resort. Some staff was very good, and some were fairly lazy. Generally, I would say that the staff that had come from other Banyan Tree resorts were great, while the locals had more of an island time mentality. Also, the villa did have a nice pool, but the jacuzzi does not actually get hot. It gets warm, but not hot, so kind of defeats the point. But the pool was great. The villa is nice, but there is no WC and no outdoor shower, though there is a nice view from the shower. The breakfast buffet is good. The gym was lousy, but we had a great massage. The food overall was pretty good, but expensive considering there is not much close by. The beach though is incredible. It is pretty big and there were never more than 2 or 3 other couple on it. Just fantastic
As we had flown from SFO straight here we did not do much activities, but did not get a sense that there is really all that much to do anyways. The "highlight" of our activities, was renting a car and driving on the other side of the road.
