Expedia/Travelocity Vacations "includes taxes and fees"

Apologies if this has been answered before and/or I've posted in the wrong area.

I'm looking at booking a flight/hotel combo to Vegas next month. I found a decent deal at the same hotel where my friend and company happen to be staying. On the search page, I'm given a price of $554 CAD, and below this it says "includes fees and taxes". However when I click "Book Now", I'm then given a base price of $549 and $181.59 in "Tax & Fees", given me a new total of $730.59??

Am I missing something? I know that some hotels charge a "Resort fee" that you pay locally, but there is no indication of what the breakdown of taxes are or the usual "We apologize but the price changed" message you see on flights. This just seems like false advertising unless there's something you folks an think of that explains it.

Thanks in advance!
