The point is the harshness for a careless, unintentional, first time issue. I'm not expecting any sort of entitlement or handout for a rule that was clearly broken. My opinion is that it was pretty harsh.

Its someone in my group. Its a reference for those of us in the travel community who travel thru many countries for leisure or business to be careful.

No. I pass thru here half a dozen times a year and I make an effort to comply with the rules in each country. I've got global entry, trusted traveler program, apec card, and to say the least i dont really want to lose these priviledges.

Yes, I'm california based but not the person who had the issue. With individual salary and numbers comparisons out of the subject, given the average salary in tw being around $1k usd, its more than half of a monthly salary.
