One of the news articles I read mentioned that pax carry-ons and luggage were impounded by FAA/NTSB. Any ideas on how long it would take for pax to get their luggage back? For many this is a trivial subject but there were a few times in my life where I was rather sick and my carry on had my medical equipment in it. Not quite life support but I would have been getting worried in 12-24 hrs. And going to the ER wasn't an option - - they'd do more harm than good in my case.
The Feds are probably conspiring with Delta managment. I'm sure Delta will be announcing a luggage auction at the LGA baggage claim in the coming weeks. After all, surely you'd be willing to pay to get your stuff back. DL has to rake up the funds for a new jet some way or another...
