I'd be more worried about the rats in the terminal and crappy food vendors @ LGA before I'd be worried about landing there.

If you are ultra concerned, fly a legacy carrier - they pay their pilots more. Although truth be told, ALL pilots love to fly and would spend 24/7 in the air if they could, even work for free. Even the cut rate carriers have good pilots.
