Yeah I didn't notice it when I booked which is surprising. I would usually notice, but perhaps somehow I missed it. I wouldn't think Marriott can change an email. I sent a message to Marriott asking what this fee is for and if it can be declined. I did a dummy booking and saw the fee, but I can't seem to find any description of what the fee is. Seems a bit shady to me...
