Paid HKD 12,300 (CHF 1500) to upgrade from Economy to Business. However, since there was only one seat left, they needed me to standby at the gate, rather than confirm at check in desk, and upgrade eventually cleared. Asked to be issued lounge pass but they refused, found it quite stingy of them.
