I fly in and out of A all the time, and I think that would be cool. Much cooler than WN.
I really don't see that happening unless Terminal A gets expanded and customs gets added. Don't get me wrong, I support the idea, it is just very hard to see DL's 4pm-7pm departure bank with RON aircraft starting to come in at 7pm, along with DL's widebodies, AF, AZ, and VS having widebodies too. Even if DL had the whole terminal, still very hard to imagine. As the next post I quote points out times...

If the cargo facilities next to Terminal A get demolished and an expansion of the Satellite terminal with widebody gates to handle a 747 get built, with customs, I could see AF, AZ, AM, VS moving in there. AS could get the current A21 and A22 back, but otherwise DL and their SkyTeam partners use the rest of the terminal. There easily could be 6 gates added. It would benefit all parties. DL would use those gates for their international flights (not just AMS/CDG/LHR but also NAS, PLS, CUN). It would give AF/AZ/AM/VS more choice, and would also reduce the congestion in E for Massport. It can't possibly happen now, only if A is expanded and customs is added. I hope Massport would realize the value in that.

We're about 2.5 months away from the summer schedules kicking in when DL alone has 3 Europe widebody departures around the same time (AMS - 7:10pm, LHR-7:10pm, and CDG-7:25pm which is up-gauging to a mix of 76W /764). With WN taking A18-22 this is going to push all other DL domestic flights to the main terminal for late afternoon/early evening departures as the widebodies are towed over from terminal E mid-afternoon. Even with the VS flight not being until 9:50pm, DL has it's second widebody AMS flight at 9:08pm (76W), so where would the VS flight have room to depart from as it's up-gauged to a 744 this summer. Can 744's use the A terminals?
Apparently there was a 744 at A14 for a Super Bowl charter going to PHX. I don't think that would be able to happen on a regular basis though.

In other news...

Apparently gate A9 at BOS is open for business. An A319 from MSP is arriving at that gate later tonight.
