airberlin/NIKI actually offer these 'gourmet' meals as upgrades for their own topbonus Platinum members and some oneworld Emeralds have reported being given the meals too. So if you fly with them and you're Gold, definitely ask for the gourmet meal and try your luck!

I actually rate airberlin/NIKI's normal offering on SH to be just as good as the offering on BA. So the gourmet meals are much better than the boring BA sandwich. Plus they normally block the next seat for Sapphire and Emerald members.
