Too bad it won't be as effective, but I never put bag tags on my bags until I found out how little people know about the boarding process (even know most of you all think you do) and how angry people get when they think they've been trumped over for an upgrade. Since most of my travel is in F (the class, not the fare), I have since taken a liking to placing a fairly new looking silver tag and having it on my bag, facing out when in the over head bin. It's a fun way to pass time while sipping on a woodford and coke.
