Many hotels are sold out on these days (e.g. all three *wood properties in or near Las Vegas), and others have pretty high rate even for a weekend (if you can book 3/20 at the Cosmo, a regular room will run $750 for that night). It's the same for the weekend after, but the first weekend in April brings rates down to $240 for the reular room on a friday night (all with the Platinum override).

So yes, the weekend might play into the minimum stay requirement, but there is something else going on that also makes this a reality. And I was hoping for a nice, quiet weekend away from the strip when I reserved the Lake Las Vegas Westin - now with that also being full to the brim I guess I need to bring some oil to get the full sardine-can feeling while hanging out at the (most likely crowed) pool...
