Ok, this lounge cost aspect is something I clearly never appreciated, as I've always assumed the airline paid a flat fee.
But if it's the case, it's BA's own d---n fault for deciding to outsource lounge ops. And if fewer people use the lounge now because of these enhancements, then won't the lounge operator suffer?
