Just because you have the card, you can't wave it at check-in and say, " I have this card and it entitles me to a free checked bag. I have some colleagues who have AA-branded credit cards and they think they are entitled to board when priority Platinum or Gold boards. Not so, and the gate agents are quite happy to tell them to move out of the line.
