I turned LH in because they refused to drop the charges on my ticket - which BA did do after I demanded.


And no, you are wrong about the jurisdiction thing. The Brazilian law cannot control how a FFP works and how it operates. As long as they follow the general rule: the ticket must be presented to a Costumer with ONE single price + government taxes.

They cannot charge YQ, not in revenue and neither in Awards.

They would break yet another rule if they were not to allow sales or redemptions ex Brazil, but allow the other way around.

Only solution: do not release awards to/from Brazil.
