I don't disbelieve you, but the article does say "crimes were only uncovered in December last year after she left her car to be cleaned at Gatwick Airport and
a valet found the empty charity envelopes strewn across the boot" which indicates that (unless she was taking empty envelopes) that she was emptying them....
