correct. A revenue flight can earn both TP, Avios and OB points, but an Avios redemption doesn't earn OB points and an OB redemption doesn't earn TP or Avios.

Also children cannot earn OB points.

OB points can be a mixed blessing. Potentially saving your boss from forking out for your fare, but preventing you collecting points in your BAEC account.
