What is the actual policy for reaccom to other carriers when on a ticketed R ticket

Does anyone know the actual official policy for reaccommodations to other carriers when traveling on a ticketed R class ticket (ie, a ticket that was paid for using a combination of cash and miles/copay/GPU). I get different answers from different people. Don't need anecdotal examples and would greatly appreciate no discussion--as if typically gets completely off topic--whether a pax deserves or doesn't deserve to be reaccomodated in the same cabin as originally ticketed. Just interested if someone knows the official and documented policy and/or UA profile name.
