I grabbed one ex-CMB QR biz fare this Fall, and paid my way to get to CMB with AA (via EY from FRA/AUH). Next time, I might just take CX's J fare from Tokyo to JFK since it's easier to buy tickets or use miles to Tokyo (if i need a decent price premium fare for my EXP requalification goal and never get tired of Tokyo ).
