If I do have cancer, it will mean treatment in the UK - where I live and am also a citizen - and no travel to the US for at least six months, maybe longer and who knows what will happen...

My doctor said if I want to fly back to the States, I should do it now while we await my results and I'm still feeling well. (I feel fine atm. I'm not sick.)

So my question is: can I fly home on my UK passport? My US passport is with the Embassy. Normal processing means it won't be ready for two more weeks and that's too late for me. I haven't phoned them yet about this, as I only found out today.

I'd be visiting my family for 10 days and then returning. I'd also be take my son who is only a UK citizen atm with a UK passport. I haven't applied for his US citizenship yet because I needed to renew my US passport first. That was going to be my next step but then this happened.
