Since miles are more valuable with the new "rules" I believe the price option isn't horrible for 5.5 hours. But if food is the same, and there is no inflight entertainment, I could probably save the $$ for spending in Hawaii. Hmmm.
Everyone's definition of "is it worth it?" is going to vary, but $454/one-way/per person is rather high for a buy-up.

When is your departure date? Depending upon loads, I think it would actually go down. $299 or less, I'd consider taking it and that rate isn't uncommon to HI.
