Reading an article in AirlinerWorld about the end of the 737. To quote 'in 1981 Club Class was introduced to replace First Class on short haul sectors. It introduced a movable divider separating the two cabins, enabling BA to vary the number if seats in each section according to demand. The revolutionary move quickly became the standard for most European airlines. for BA it meant the 737s moved from a fixed eight seat first class and 96 economy to a basic 116 seat layout.
They were the days!
